DAY 3
The fever has subsided. It seems, as unlikely as it may be, I am a carrier. This may explain why I survived in the bus for so long. I head out today. I don't know how far I will get but I just want to put some distance between me and this god forsaken town. If I'm lucky there might be a military camp or something along the coast that will have everything figured out. My best bet is to avoid anyone that I suspect may be diseased; the infected seem to be extremely aggressive, as if they have been altered to have their main instinct to spread the disease. The days will soon become much colder and much shorter, witch could mean either any remaining infected freeze, having lost their instinct of self preservation, or I, too, freeze. I much prefer the former instance, but I guess we will just see how things go. I don't know how far along the coast I will go before I decide (or are forced) to go inland. As with many other things pertaining to survival, only time will decide the best course of action. The threat if infection is gone, at least for me, but that still leaves a plethora of challenges that I face. I know I shouldn't postpone my departure much longer, so I will leave at dawn tomorrow, covering as much ground as I can before dusk.
